Bob lettered in both varsity basketball and Golf as a student at Thomas. His biggest contributions came in the form of community involvement that elevated athletic opportunities for area youth and generally enhanced quality of life for those in the Kennebec Valley.

Coaching and serving on the board of directors at the Kennebec Valley YMCA was just the start of years of dedication toward is community earning him several accolades, including being named the KVYMCA Man in 1991, KVYMCA Family of the year in 1995, and by being inducted into the KVYMCA Hall of Fame in 2005.

He has also been recognized by Le Club Calumet with the Outstanding Citizen Award in 2007 and received two Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce Community Service awards. Bob has been a part of several fundraising efforts in the community, along with serving as the Senior VP of Advancement at his alma mater, Thomas College, for nearly a decade.

Even with all these accomplishments, Bob’s proudest achievement is his family. He resides in South China with his wife Susan MS ’14. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
