Hall of Fame
Karin Bird was a member of the Lady Terriers Basketball Team for three years, and in 2011-2012 led the nation in scoring for NCAA Division 3, averaging 24.5 points per game. She also led the conference in scoring all three years. Bird was named to the NAC All-Conference First Team in three consecutive seasons: 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012. She scored a total of 1332 points in her three years at Thomas. She was honored with the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Second Team in 2011-2012. Bird, a three-sport standout at Lee Academy in Lee, Maine, won seven State Championships and 11 Eastern Maine Championships. She graduated with a forensic psychology degree in 2012 and is now a Section 28 Children’s Program Supervisor.Â
