Richard "Dick" Meader

Coach Meader served as Director of Athletics from 1972-1991 and men’s basketball coach from 1971-1988. Dick was largely credited for developing the men’s basketball program into a competitive program within the conference. He was a two-time Maine and NAIA District V Coach of the Year, and was the founder of the Pine Tree Basketball Camp. He was a leader
at both the conference and regional level, while playing a primary role in introducing women’s athletics to Thomas College.
