During her time on campus, Joy was one of the most dominate pitchers in Thomas Softball History. She capped off a standout career by garnering North Atlantic conference (NAC) 1st Team All-Conference honors her senior year, winning 14 games, striking out 206 opponents in 151 innings, while leading the league with a 1.02 ERA. On offense, Joy also batted .333 during her senior season.Â
From the moment Joy first stepped on the mound at Thomas, she dominated. During her freshman year. Joy was selected at the Sunrise Athletic Conference (SAC) Rookie of the Year, was named to the SAC All-Conference 1st Team, and in the championship game, Joy threw a no-hitter, clinching the 2003 SAC Championship
In 2004, Joy was a member of the Thomas NAC Tournament Championship Team and was named tournament MVP for her pitching prowess. In 2004 and 2005, Joy was named to the NAC All-Conference 2nd Team and was also selected to the NAC All-Tournament team in 2005.Â
