In addition, Julie was a standout for the Thomas Softball program, earning All-District honors as an outfielder for the lady Terriers.
As a sophomore, Julie led Thomas in rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentages, while averaging 17.3 points per game. She followed up her sophomore campaign by earning All-Conference honors during her junior year, leading Thomas to its first post-season berth in four seasons.
Julie capped off her standout career as a senior captain, being named 1st Team All-District and earning Maine Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (MAIAW) 2nd Team All-State recognition after averaging 16.9 points, 9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game – all of which led the team.
Growing up in central Maine, Julia starred for Messalonskee High School. A 4-year starter for the Eagles, Julia led Messalonskee to a Maine State Class. “B” title while being named 1st Team All-State.
Graduating with a degree in Management, Julie and her brother now own and operate two Alzheimer’s and Dementia homes in Maine. She is a lifelong resident of the Belgrade Lakes Region, where she and her husband Mike raised their three children Michael, Reilly, and Brianne.
