Waterville, ME – The 2025 Field Hockey season is almost here, and student athletes are now back on campus to begin their preparations for the regular season. This year Field Hockey will look to build upon their Central Maine Collegiate Field Hockey Conference Championship appearance from 2024.
 
Head Field Hockey Coach Andrea Thebarge and her staff have worked hard to bring in another talented incoming class. When asked about this group, Coach Thebarge had this to say: "We have some great talent coming in this fall, and I'm looking for them to step right in and compete right away. They are a great group and will fit right in with our team culture from day one." Those players are as follows:
 
#9 Emily Battisti – Forward/Midfield, Jaffrey, New Hampshire
#11 Caroline Hendrickson – Midfield, Farmingdale, Maine
#12 McKenzie Clay – Midfield, Garland, Maine
#16 Rylee Cooper – Defense, Andover, Maine
#18 Jaiden Williams – Forward, Brewer, Maine
#21 Celia Stinson – Midfield, Pittsfield, Maine
#32 Eliya Drummond – Goalkeeper, Saint Albans, Maine
#42 Madi Ross – Goalkeeper, Mashpee, Massachusetts
 
Looking ahead to the regular season, Coach Thebarge pointed out a few important matchups to watch for against non-conference opponents such as Skidmore College and Bates College. "Our team really battles when we play these top caliber teams, and it helps prepare us for our conference games later on in the season." Those dates and times are listed below:
 
August 29^th VS Skidmore College – 12:00 PM – Bernatchez Field
September 10^th VS Bates College – 7:00 PM – Bernatchez Field
 
Coach Thebarge was also asked about her goals for the team this season, both in terms of individual player development and team achievement. "I'm looking for our team to come in and pick up where we left off this past spring. The spring is when we started preparing for this season and we grew as a team. We want to speed up our play and improve on our possession and game IQ."
 
Field Hockey will begin their regular season at home this Friday, August 29^th, against Skidmore College. Game time is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Bernatchez Field.
