New London, NH – Field Hockey traveled to take on the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers on Saturday, September 6^th, 2025. The Terriers generated a staggering 26 shots to the Chargers three and earned a 2-0 win.
 
How it Happened:

• The Terriers dominated from the get-go, forcing the Charger goalkeeper to make three good saves in the first minute.
• Both teams struggled for chances for the next 10 minutes, but eventually the Terriers were able to generate three more shots on goal, all being saved by the Chargers goalkeeper to close out the quarter.
• Two more shots on goal in the beginning of the second quarter from the Terriers set the tone for the remainder of the game.
• With six minutes to go until halftime Celia Stinson found Kara Richards, who scored to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
• Just four minutes later Samantha Thebarge found Caroline Hendrickson, who made it 2-0.
• With under a minute left in the half, the Chargers earned their first quality chance, a shot which needed to be saved by Eliya Drummond.
• The Terriers continued to control the game into the third quarter, not allowing the Chargers any key chances for them to cut into the lead.
• Headed into the fourth quarter the Charger goalkeeper remained strong, making another good save from a Leah Knight shot in the opening minutes.
• Later on in the quarter Thebarge and Tatiana Roque both had their shots saved.
• The Chargers were unable to generate any opportunities in the fourth quarter, and the Terriers earned a 2-0 shutout victory.
