Waterville, ME – Thomas College Athletics is excited to announce hiring of Shane Bogli to the position of Associate Head Baseball Coach for the NCAA team, and Head Club Baseball Coach. Bogli joins Thomas from Louisburg College and previously College of the Holy Cross.

Bogli joins Thomas following coaching stops at Louisburg College, the College of the Holy Cross, Western New England University, and the New Britain Bees of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped guide programs to conference championships, postseason appearances, and individual accolades while developing numerous student-athletes who advanced to higher levels of collegiate baseball.
 
Most recently at Louisburg College, Bogli helped lead the Hurricanes to a Region 10 Tournament appearance while overseeing a pitching staff that recorded more than 350 strikeouts and ranked among the top five in strikeouts per nine innings in Region 10. Four pitchers under his guidance continued their careers at NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions.
 
During the 2025 season at Holy Cross, Bogli helped the Crusaders capture both the Patriot League Regular Season and Tournament Championships while eclipsing the 30-win mark. The offense produced one of the most successful seasons in program history, setting single-season records in doubles, runs scored, RBIs, and walks while producing the Patriot League Player of the Year and three All-Conference outfielders.
 
His coaching experience also includes helping Western New England University reach the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament Championship in 2024 while mentoring two All-Conference pitchers. During the summer of 2025, Bogli served with the New Britain Bees, helping lead the organization to its first Futures League Championship appearance while coaching six All-Star pitchers, the league's Reliever of the Year, and the Pro Pitching Prospect of the Year. The Bees' pitching staff finished among the league leaders in ERA, WHIP, opponent batting average, and opponent slugging percentage.

Bogli's coaching philosophy centers around three core pillars: building relationships, accountability, and maintaining a process-oriented mindset. "Relationships come first because understanding each student-athlete allows me to better help them achieve their goals," Bogli said. "Accountability is essential to creating disciplined habits and maintaining high standards, while a process-focused approach teaches student-athletes to embrace the daily work that ultimately leads to long-term success."
 
Originally from Vernon, Connecticut, Bogli graduated from Rockville High School before playing collegiate baseball at Post University, Westfield State University, and UMass Lowell. During his collegiate career, he compiled a 16-7 record with a 3.51 ERA, striking out 129 batters over 161.1 innings while earning MASCAC Pitcher of the Week honors, serving as team captain, and helping Westfield State capture the 2019 MASCAC Championship. He concluded his playing career as a graduate transfer at UMass Lowell, competing against nationally recognized programs including South Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Boston College.
 
He earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in Coaching from Westfield State University before completing a master's degree in Public Administration from UMass Lowell.

Bogli's official start date is August 10^th, and will look to begin preparations for the upcoming year.
