Thomas College

Andrea Thebarge was named the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics in the fall of 2025 after serving in the role on an interim basis.

Thebarge joined the Thomas in 2008 as the Head Field Hockey Coach, while also serving as Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator. She additionally served as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach from 2009 to 2010.

Prior to her time at Thomas College, Thebarge served as the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at the University of Maine from 2002 to 2005 and was named Interim Head Coach in 2006. From 2000 to 2002, she was the Head Field Hockey, Basketball, and Softball Coach at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, a private institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Thebarge has been actively involved with the United States Field Hockey Association Futures program as both a player and coach. She also served as the Regional Coaching Director for Massachusetts from 2001 to 2003. Her club coaching experience includes serving as a head coach for the Mid Maine Majestix Field Hockey Club in Waterville, Maine, as well as the Maine Rapids.

A native of Skowhegan, Maine, Thebarge graduated from Northeastern University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in secondary education. While at Northeastern, she was a four-year starter on the field hockey team and competed in four NCAA Division I tournaments. Her teams advanced to the Final Four championship in both 1995 and 1996.

In December of 2009, Thebarge was inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Association's Hall of Fame.
