Richards, Clay, Drummond, and Thebarge All Earn CMCFHC Weekly Awards

Waterville, ME - McKenzie Clay, Kara Richards, Eliya Drummond, and Samantha Thebarge all earned Central Maine Collegiate Field Hockey Conference Weekly Awards for the Week of October 24th. In that time the Terriers went 1-1, falling in double overtime to Colby College 0-1, then bouncing back to win 3-1 at the University of Maine Farmington.

McKenzie Clay earned the CMCFHC's Rookie of the Week award after playing every minute on defense for the Terriers this past week. Clay had a great game on Monday, helping the Terriers to defend against several Colby College attacks. Against Farmington on Saturday Clay also played great defense, helping the team to a 3-1 win.

Kara Richards earned the CMCFHC's Player of the Week award after her involvement in every goal against Farmington on Saturday. Richards scored twice and assisted on another goal to help lead the Terriers to their 3-1 win against a conference opponent.

Samatha Thebarge earned the CMCFHC's Defensive Player of the Week award after her strong performances in both games this week. Thebarge played every minute of both games, and had a crucial defensive save against Colby on Monday to help the Terriers force overtime against a strong NESCAC opponent.

Eliya Drummond was named the CMCFHC's Goalie of the Week after only allowing two goals and making 15 total saves across both games this week. Drummond was excellent on Monday against Colby, making 11 saves as the Terriers forced double overtime against a strong NESCAC opponent.

Field Hockey will be back in action on Wednesday, October 29th, when they travel to take on Husson University. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
