Field Hockey Earns Dominant 9-3 Win on Senior Day Against UMF

Waterville, ME - Field Hockey earned a dominant 9-3 win against the University of Maine Farmington Beavers on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. The Terriers celebrated three seniors in their final regular season contest, Leah Knight, Kara Richards, and Isabel Kramer.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers wasted no time, as one minute in Maci Freeman found Samantha Thebarge from a penalty corner to make it 1-0.
  • Just two minutes later the Terriers doubled their lead thanks to a solo goal from Richards.
  • Six minutes in Richards scored her second of the game, another unassisted effort to make it 3-0.
  • The Terriers carried their momentum into the second quarter, but the Beaver defense held strong in the opening minutes.
  • With three minutes remaining Celia Stinson scored a top-shelf goal to make it 4-0 headed into halftime.
  • 38 Seconds into the third quarter Richards struck again on an unassisted effort to make it 5-0.
  • The Terriers continued to roll, with goals from Leah Knight (Freeman assist), and Richards to make it 7-0.
  • Despite the scoreline the Beavers wouldn't quit, scoring to make it 1-7 at the end of the third quarter.
  • Two minutes into the fourth quarter Samantha Thebarge found Richards for her fifth and final goal of the game to make it 8-1.
  • The Beavers struck right back one minute later with a goal of their own to make it 2-8.
  • With seven minutes remaining in the game the Beavers scored yet again from a solo effort.
  • With five minutes remaining Freeman found Thebarge on a penalty corner, and Thebarge was able to score the game's final goal to help the Terriers earn a 9-3 win.
