Box Score 2 Lyndonville, VT – The Terriers traveled down to Northern Vermont University on Thursday, April 27
th to play their final NAC Conference games of the regular season. Thomas came out of both games with a win, first winning a strong 17-9 in game one. Followed by an 8-6 win in game two, with a late surge of runs in the seventh inning from the Hornets.
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (18-15), NAC (13-3)
Northern Vermont University Lyndon: Overall (8-23), NAC (4-8)
Game 1
How it Happened:
- A strong first inning for Terriers came a high number of runs, seven scored off four Terrier hits including doubles from Cam Haynes, Nick Hutson, and Jason Bartlett, along with five Hornet errors
- Lyndon added a solo run at the bottom of the first after a walked batter was hit in off a single to left field
- The Hornets made it a 7-3 game in the next inning with a double scoring both runs
- Bartlett started the top of third off by hitting a two-run home run, bringing in walked batter Austin Stebbins
- While still keeping the Hornets at three runs Thomas continued to add to the board, adding five runs in the fourth inning, 14-3 Thomas
- The Hornets were able to bring in three more runs in the fourth, but the Terriers were too far ahead only bringing it to an eight-run differential, 14-6 Thomas
- Thomas added their final three runs in the fifth inning, with a walked in run, infield RBI, and run scored on a first and third situation
- It wasn't until the bottom of the sixth when Lyndon brought in their final three runs, final score 17-9 Thomas
The Pitchers:
Garrison Paillet started on the mound for the Terriers pitching just the first inning, striking out two of his four batters faced.
Tyler Cantey then came in to pitch the next three innings, getting the win for the Terriers.
Darien Olivo relieved Cantey in the fifth inning, pitching to three batters striking out two. Olivo then pitched to a few batters in the sixth before
Roy Clayton finished out the inning and the rest of the game. Clayton recorded two strikeouts on six batters.
Game 2
How it Happened:
- The Terriers started game two just as they did in game one, multiple runs in the first inning
- Three back-to-back singles form Elijah Morton, Tony Meza, and Haynes brought in the Terriers first run
- Followed by a RBI sacrifice fly from Huston brought in Meza, Haynes scoring on a Hornet error, and RBI sacrifice fly from Stebbins, 4-0 Thomas
- The next run scored did not come until the third inning when Thomas added two more runs thanks to double by Aaron Young and second sac fly from Stebbins, 6-0 Thomas
- It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth when the Hornets added their first runs of the game with a two-run single to right field
- The Terriers added their final two runs in the fifth with a home run from Young and RBI single from Morton bringing in Seymour
- The Hornets did not let up as they found a two out rally in the bottom of the seventh, scoring four runs off three singles and a triple before getting their final out to end the game, final score 8-6 Thomas
The Pitchers:
Sophomore Meza started on the mound pitching six innings with five strikeouts before being relieved by
Daniel May in the seventh. May faced six batters in the seventh inning allowing three run scored before the Terriers put Meza back in to finish the game with two outs.

The Terriers will host their final regular season game next Tuesday, May 2
nd at H. Allen Ryan Field against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears, first pitch at 4:30pm.
