Amber Boardman earned the North Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award for the week of 4/11/26. The Terriers went 1-1 last week, defeating the University of Maine Farmington at home 11-10 on Tuesday, but then falling 1-16 against VTSU Castleton on Sunday.
Amber Boardman was named this week's NAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after an incredible week for the Terriers, culminating in two stellar performances in goal. Starting on Tuesday, Boardman was heroic in her time in net, earning at the time a career and season high 16 saves, including several point-blank saves in the fourth quarter, to help the Terriers defeat the Beavers 11-10 in a thrilling back-and-forth contest. Boardman also had seven ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win. Despite the Terriers being outshot 21-32, Boardman shined to secure the win. On Sunday against VTSU Castleton Boardman earned a career and season high 19 saves, picking up five ground balls and causing two turnovers. In total Boardman had an incredible 35 saves, 12 ground balls, and four caused turnovers with a 54.3 save percentage, an incredible feat for facing a total of 50 shots on goal.
Women's Lacrosse will be back in action on Tuesday, April 14th, when they take on Gordon College at home. Start time is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
