Waterville, ME -
Kyle Delano and
Hayden Dippner both earned North Atlantic Conference Baseball weekly honors for the week of 3/28/26. The Terriers went 1-2 in that time, falling narrowly to Saint Joseph's College of Maine 8-9 on Thursday, then split with the University of Maine Presque Isle on Sunday, 7-1, and 5-9.
Kyle Delano was named the NAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after making a key start on the mound, pitching an absolute gem to help give the team their first conference win of the season against UMPI. Delano went all nine innings, allowed just four hits, no earned runs, an incredible zero walks or wild pitches, and struck out seven batters in route to the 7-1 victory. Delano consistently came up in huge moments, including getting out of several innings with runners on base in what will likely be one of the best pitching performances throughout the conference all year.
Hayden Dippner was named to the NAC Baseball Honor Roll after his strong performances throughout the week that culminated in a .400 batting average, a grand slam against St. Joe's, four hits, and seven RBI. Starting the week at St. Joe's, Dippner came up clutch and helped lead the Terriers battle back in the ninth inning. With the team down 4-7, Dippner delivered with a grand slam to give the Terriers the 8-7 lead heading into the bottom of the inning. His best all-around performance came against UMPI in game one, where he earned two hits and three RBI, coming up huge once again to lead the Terriers to a 7-1 win.
Baseball will be back in action today when they travel to take on Bowdoin College at 4:30 PM in a single nine inning game.
