Lewiston, ME - Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field traveled to compete in the 2026 Bates Invitational on Saturday, January 17th, 2026.
Emma Burr and Colin Simpson earned provisional qualification to the NCAA Division III New England Championships. The Men's team placed fourth out of 12 schools with 70 points, and the Women's team placed fourth out of 10 schools with 49 points.
How it Happened:
Men's Indoor Track & Field:
- Nick Plamondon placed third in the Men's 60 Meters with a time of 7.15 seconds.
- Plamondon also placed third in the Men's 200 Meters with a time of 23.20 seconds.
- Gage Bruns placed second in the Men's 800 Meters with a time of 2:04.24.
- Nolan Garey placed first and won the Men's 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 8.58 seconds.
- Colin Simpson placed first and won the Men's Long Jump with a distance of 20 feet and 9.75 inches. This jump earned Simpson a provisional qualification for the NCAA Division III New England Championships.
- Kaden Mills placed third in the Men's Triple Jump with a distance of 38 feet and 4 inches.
- The Men's team placed fourth out of 12 schools with a total of 70 points.
Women's Indoor Track & Field:
- Emma Burr placed third in the Women's 60 Meters with a time of 8.19 seconds. This time earned Burr a provisional qualification for the NCAA Division III New England Championships.
- Celia Stinson placed second in the Women's Mile with a time of 5:48.32.
- Kara Anderson, Burr, Solece Campbell, and Naba Yahya placed second in the Women's 4x200 Replay with a time of 1:56.97.
- The Women's team placed fourth out of 10 schools with a total of 49 points.
What's Next:
- Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field will travel to Colby College on Friday, January 23rd, to compete in the Colby Mini-Meet. Start time is TBD.
