Waterville, ME – Men's Tennis closed out the regular season with a 6-3 win over UMass Boston, their 11^th straight match victory. As a result of their efforts, Men's Tennis has earned the #1 tournament seed in the Empire 8 Men's Tennis Eastern Division.
 
How it Happened:

• Gabriel McPhail and Seb Soto played in a highly contested #1 doubles match, losing 8-7 (8-10).
• Camden Herrick and Dominic Clifford made quick work at #2 doubles, winning 8-0.
• Harrison Withee and Nick Magiera also earned a comfortable victory at #3, 8-4.
• McPhail fell at #1 singles, 2-6, 3-6.
• Soto was unable to battle back in #2 doubles, with scores at 7-6, 2-6, and 5-10.
• Herrick continued his successful day by winning 6-0, 6-2 in #3 singles.
• Clifford also won in similar fashion, 6-3, 6-1.
• Calvin Cutler overcame a slow start to eventually win 3-6, 6-0, 6-3.
• To round out the match, Casey Duncan won 6-2, 6-3 in #6 singles.

 
What's Next:

• Men's Tennis will face off against the winner of the #2 and #3 seeds in the Western Division in the second round of the playoffs on May 2nd, 2025. Time and location is to be determined.
