Box Score 2 Philadelphia PA – Men's Tennis competed against tough competition in their opening week road trip, first traveling to Philadelphia to compete against NCAA Division II school Chesthut Hill College on Saturday, March 15
th, then Traveling to New York, NY, to compete against Yeshiva University on Sunday, March 16
th.
How it Happened:
Day 1 – Chesthut Hill College
- Gabriel McPhail and Seb Soto were able to gain a point in #1 doubles but eventually fell 1-6.
- McPhail was able to pick up two points against their #1 in singles, but was defeated 1-6, 1-6.
- Dominic Clifford scored twice in #4 singles, ultimately making it 2-6, 0-6.
- The Terriers finished day one with a 0-7 loss against a talented Chestnut Hill squad.
Day 2 – Yeshiva University
- The team traveled to New York on day two, this time taking on Yeshiva University.
- McPhail and Soto had some good moments in #1 doubles, but couldn't overcome their #1 duo, falling 2-6.
- The only win of the day came in #4 singles, with Dominic Clifford winning a thrilling three set match with the scores of 1-6, 6-3, and 10-7.
- Nick Magiera put up a good fight in #6 singles, but it wasn't enough as he was defeated 3-6, 3-6.
- The Terriers finished day two with a 1-6 loss.
What's Next:
- The Terriers will compete in their home opener against Bridgewater State University on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
