Indoor Track & Field is an extremely valuable gauge to help build into the Outdoor Track & Field season, something Coach Wilson wanted to emphasize. "We use the indoor season to gauge how training is going and to prepare for the outdoor season. For some of our more talented student-athletes, they can qualify for indoor championships such as Division III New England's and Division III NCAA Championships."
When asked about the team's goals heading into the season, Coach Wilson recognized that steady and consistent improvement is a key cornerstone of the team's success. "We always want to see steady improvement from every member of the team. That's the number one priority. After that, our hope is that we have many our student-athletes qualify for Division III New England's and send one or more to the NCAA National Championships. Both our men's and women's teams are extremely talented, and we have high expectations for our performances. We hope to send a record number of athletes in our program to those postseason meets."
Looking ahead at the season schedule, the team will travel to multiple high-level meets throughout the indoor season. Coach Wilson was asked which meets he is looking forward to most and listed several. "We are always excited for the season opener at Colby. A couple of other big meets for us are the Harvard Invitational/Boston University Terrier Classic combined weekend, the Maine State Championships and of course the Division III New England Championships".
