Waterville, ME – The 2025/26 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season is here, and student-athletes will travel to compete in their first meet on Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th, 2025.

Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ian Wilson and his coaching staff, Head Cross Country Coach / Assistant Track and Field Coach Alanna McDonough Tucker, as well as new hires Max Bojarski and Will Carrolton have worked hard to bring in an incredibly impressive 21 first year student-athletes who will participate this winter. Coach Wilson had high praise for those student-athletes. "This is the most talented class of first years we have ever had here. We have both depth and talent in this class, and we hope they will be a foundation for this program for the next four years". Those student-athletes are as follows:

The team also has several important returners, several of whom are likely to qualify for the NCAA Division III New England Championships in their respective events. Those student-athletes are as follows: On the Men's side there is Nolan Garey, Nick Plamondon, Thomas Grady, Caleb Russo, Alwin Andree, Jauza James, and Henry Phillips. On the Women's side there is Emma Burr, Kara Anderson, Chelsey Cote, Nabah Yahya, and Cassidy Hardy.

Indoor Track & Field is an extremely valuable gauge to help build into the Outdoor Track & Field season, something Coach Wilson wanted to emphasize. "We use the indoor season to gauge how training is going and to prepare for the outdoor season.  For some of our more talented student-athletes, they can qualify for indoor championships such as Division III New England's and Division III NCAA Championships."

When asked about the team's goals heading into the season, Coach Wilson recognized that steady and consistent improvement is a key cornerstone of the team's success. "We always want to see steady improvement from every member of the team.  That's the number one priority. After that, our hope is that we have many our student-athletes qualify for Division III New England's and send one or more to the NCAA National Championships. Both our men's and women's teams are extremely talented, and we have high expectations for our performances. We hope to send a record number of athletes in our program to those postseason meets."

Looking ahead at the season schedule, the team will travel to multiple high-level meets throughout the indoor season. Coach Wilson was asked which meets he is looking forward to most and listed several. "We are always excited for the season opener at Colby. A couple of other big meets for us are the Harvard Invitational/Boston University Terrier Classic combined weekend, the Maine State Championships and of course the Division III New England Championships".
