Box Score Waterville, ME – Thomas Baseball gets a huge win of 22-15 in 9 inning game against Vermont State University Lyndon Hornets on Sunday, April 7
th. The Terriers only recorded 13 hits, but a high error count from the Hornets gave them the edge up.

How it Happened:
- Lyndon would be the first on the board after a RBI single to left field scoring their leadoff batter.
- A passed ball in the top of the second would give the Hornets their second run.
- It wasn't until the bottom of the third when the Terriers would get their first run of the game. Jason Bartlett started off the inning by reaching first on a single to third base. He would make his way around to third before scoring off an RBI from Senior Tony Meza.
- The Hornets would go on to score 4 runs in the fourth inning off an error, triple, and single up the middle, bringing the score to 6-1. A pitching changed also occurred in the fourth with Junior Wyatt Thompson relieving Jarrad Willette five batters.
- Thomas would match the Hornets in the bottom of the fourth, brining in four runs. Two runs came in from a single up the middle by Patrick Temby. Meza would then put a high fly in play and reached first due to an error by the shortstop, scoring Hayden Dippner and DJ Cagnina. The inning ended with the Terriers down 6-5 to the Hornets.
- The top of the fifth brought 6 runs by Hornets and three different pitchers for the Terriers.
- In true comeback fashion the Terriers would score 7 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 12.
- Temby would start the rally by hitting in Matt Seymour with a single to left field. Morton would then bring in two runs with a single up the middle. Pinch hitter Jeremy Spencer was hit by a pitch, walking in the ninth run for the Terriers. A wild pitch by the Hornets pitcher brought in Morton. Seymour who started the inning would get his second at bat and reach off an error by the left fielder, the error scored two, tying up the game at 12 runs entering the sixth inning.
- A blank inning by the Hornets would give the Terriers momentum in the bottom of the sixth inning as they went on to score 7 runs, taking the lead for the first time in the game, 19-12.
- The inning started with Temby getting hit by a pitch and Bartlett getting on base off a walk, Dippner then hit Temby in off a double to right field, Bartlett tried to sneak in at home but was out on the relay. Morton immediately brought in Dippner earning the 14th run. Morton would then go on to score on a passed ball later in the inning. Seymour went to single in the infield scoring Meza who walked earlier. Two Thomas runs then scored from an error by the Hornets right fielder. Temby would bring in the 19th run on a double to left field.
- Not giving up hope, the Hornets added two runs in the top of the 7th inning of 4 hits.
- Staying strong, Thomas continued to add runs in the 7th, brining in 3 runs. Singles from Seymour and Bartlett brought in two runs. The third run came from Samual Keblinsky stealing home after a throw back to the pitcher. Going in the 8th inning, Thomas keeps the strong lead of 22-14.
- A loan Hornet run took the Terriers to the bottom of the ninth up 22-15.
- The game would end after the top of 10 with a final score of 22-15.
