Terriers Sweep Both Matches Against Broncos in Senior Day Doubleheader

WATERVILLE, Maine –– The Terriers took on SUNY Delhi in a doubleheader on April 13th. The day concluded with double sweep with an overall score of 9-0 and 9-0 in favor of Thomas College. The Terriers improve to 6-2 on the season while the Broncos fall to 3-5.

Match 1
Doubles:
At #1 doubles Terriers Gabe McPhail and Liam Gould took on Hannah Shafer and Benjamin Andersen. The match ended with a score of 8-1 in favor of the Terriers.
At #2 doubles Terriers Calvin Cutler and Seb Soto took on Devin Guerrieri and Moises Saintil. The match would conclude in an 8-0 score in favor of Thomas College.
At #3 doubles Terriers Nick Magiera and Caleb Daigneault took on Jack Madera and J.T. Maccarrone. This one would go in favor of the Terriers duo winning 8-2.
 
Singles:
At #1 singles McPhail would take on Andersen. McPhail would take care a business winning both sets with relative ease 6-0, 6-3.
At #2 singles Soto took on Saintil. Soto would find no issue winning both sets against Saintil with a score of 6-2, 6-0.
At #3 singles Gould would take on Guerrieri. Gould would fight hard to get the win over Guerrieri with set scores of 6-3, 6-2.
At #4 singles Cutler would take on Maccarrone. Cutler would win hard fought sets against Maccarone winning his first set 6-4 and going the distance winning his second set 7-5.
At #5 singles Kegan Rodrigue would take on Shafer. Rodrigue would coast to victory winning both sets 6-4, 6-1.
At #6 singles Magiera would take on Madera. Magiera would ease his way to victory winning both sets 6-1, 6-1.
 
Match 2
Doubles:
At #1 doubles Terriers McPhail and Gould took on Maccarrone and Madera. The match ended with a score of 8-0 in favor of the Terriers.
At #2 doubles Terriers Cutler and Soto took on Sarthak Thapa and Veronica Coe. The match would conclude in an 8-0 score in favor of Thomas College.
At #3 doubles Terriers Magiera and Daigneault took on Collin Gibson and Nikolas Christian. This one would go in favor of the Terriers duo winning 8-0.
 
Singles:
At #1 singles McPhail would take on Andersen. McPhail would win both sets against Andersen 6-3, 6-3 score.
At #2 singles Soto took on Saintil. Soto would end up winning in a closely fought match 6-0, 6-2.
At #3 singles Gould would take on Guerrieri. Gould would find his stride against Wood winning both his sets 6-2, 6-4.
At #4 singles Cutler would take on Madera. Cutler would finish on top in a winning both sets in convincing fashion 6-0, 6-1.
At #5 singles Rodrigue would take on Sarthak. Rodrigue would win both his sets against Sarthak 6-1, 6-4
At #6 singles Zephyr Lani-Caputo would take on Christian. Lani-Caputo would beat Christian with flawless 6-0, 6-0 score to win his first ever NCAA match as a Terrier.
