Box Score 2 Davenport, FL – Baseball was swept on day three of the RussMatt Invitational by scores of 5-11 and 0-4 against Russell Sage College and Albion College on Wednesday, March 6
th, 2024. These games served as the fourth and fifth of nine games played in the RussMatt Invitational at various locations in Florida.

Game One - Russell Sage College 5-11:
How it Happened:
- Both teams were held in a deadlock through the first two innings, with both pitchers making quick work of any opposing batters.
- The Terriers ultimately struck first in the third inning, as an Elijah Morton single sent home Javier Diaz to take a 1-0 lead.
- Neither team would score until the bottom of the fifth inning, as the Gators scored a run to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Terriers would strike right back in the top of the sixth, as a Samuel Keblinsky single brought home Hayden Dippner and Morton to take a 3-1 lead.
- The Gators fought right back, scoring three runs of their own in the inning to take a 4-3 lead.
- Javier Diaz would drive home another run in the seventh inning, but the Gators tacked on four runs of their own to take a commanding 4-8 lead.
- The Terriers would take advantage of an error and score again in the eighth, but the Gators scored another three runs and were able to shut out the Terriers in the ninth inning.
- The final score ended in a 5-11 loss for the Terriers in their fourth game of the RussMatt Invitational.

Game Two - Albion College 0-4:
How it Happened:
- The Terriers looked to get off to a good start, as both Mitch Regan and Keblinsky were able to get to third and second base.
- A ground out ended the inning, but the Terriers were off to a promising start.
- Neither team was able to bring home a run until the bottom of the third inning, when the Britons brought home a run to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Britons tacked on another run in the fourth, extending their lead to two runs.
- Evan Nadeau hit a long single down the right field line in the top of the fifth, and thanks to some good baserunning was able to advance to second base.
- However, the Terriers were still unable to score as the Britons extended their lead to four runs by the eighth inning.
- The best chance for any Terrier scoring came in the top of the eighth inning. A walk from Dippner and singles from Regan and Keblinsky meant the bases were loaded with two outs.
- Unfortunately, the Britons kept the Terriers scoreless in the inning and closed out the ninth inning to hand the Terriers a 0-4 loss.
