Bats Go Quiet as Terriers Baseball Fall to Bowdoin

Brunswick, Maine – The Bowdoin College Poler Bears pulled away from Thomas with a 6-1 win, sparked by a 4 run 2nd inning. 

Thomas College: Overall (4-8)

Bowdoin College: Overall (10-4)

How it Happened:

  • Bowdoin started the game well, after a scoreless first inning the Bears struck first after Cal Thompson tripled to right center, RBI; Aiden Carey scored, Ben McKenzie would bring Thompson home when he grounded into a fielder's choice.
  • Bowdoin would add two more runs in the inning when Kevin Murray would single to left, Bowdoin would load the bases before Reuben Siegel would draw a bases loaded walk. 
  • In the 4th Bowdoin would strike again, when they would reach on an error, the error led to a run coming across for the hosts.
  • The Terriers would look for a response in the 5th, Cam Haynes would come across on a Mitch Regan single.
  • Neither team would score until the 8th when Bowdoin would add an insurance run on a fielders choice.

The Terriers will again be on the road, traveling to Auburn, Maine taking on the Central Maine Community College Mustangs on Saturday, March 30th at noon.
