Box Score 2 Fitchburg, MA – Baseball traveled to Fitchburg State on Friday, March 22 to play the first doubleheader in Terrier history against the Falcons. Thoams finished with a good day after a close 3-2 win in game 1, followed by a large 9-1 upset in game 2.

Game 1:
How it Happened:
- The Falcons were the first to hit the board as they immediately got their first run in the bottom of the 1st inning after an RBI hit to left field scored their lead off batter who walked earlier in the inning.
- Fitchburg then added a security run in the second thanks to back-to-back hits, bringing the score to 2-0 at the top of the third.
- The Terriers were able to push a run in during the third inning thanks to Senior Tony Meza bringing in DJ Cagnina off a hit to center field. Cagnina reached base after his own single to first earlier in the inning.
- The score stayed 2-1 Fitchburg until the top of the 6th inning, where Thomas took control.
- Matt Seymour started off the inning with a single to center field, he was then able to score after Samuel Keblinsky put the ball in play causing the shortstop to make an error.
- After tying up the game Keblinsky found himself scoring the Terriers third run after bases loaded hit by pitch situation walked him in.
- The Terriers were able to buckle down on defense retiring six batters in the next two innings, ending with a 3-2 win.

Game 2:
How it Happened:
- Thomas immediately got ahead in the 1st inning; Elijah Morton singled to center field then scored off a single by Meza. Haynes then scored Meza from a SAC fly to right field.
- The Falcons did respond by scoring their loan run of the game in the bottom of the 1st off two hits.
- The third Terrier run was scored by Morton in the 3rd inning off another SAC fly to right field.
- It looked like more runs would be scored in the fourth for the Terriers after a single up the middle by Haynes started the inning, but three quick outs were made by Fitchburg.
- Thomas did get their fourth run in the 5th inning thanks to Keblinsky singling to the right-side scoring Hayden Dippner who walked during his at bat.
- Meza continued bringing in runs after scoring both Cagnina and Jason Barlett in the 6th inning. Bartlett singled to center field as the innings lead off batter and Cagnina reached base off a walk.
- The hammer hit the nail at the top of the 7th after three more runs were scored by the Terriers. The first came from Haynes walking, scoring Keblinsky. Haynes then made his way around to score after Bartlett singled to center field. Finally, Jeremy Spencer who was pinch hitting for Cagnina hit a SAC fly to center field scoring catcher Patrick Temby who was hit by a pitch earlier.
