Box Score 2 Waterville, ME- Softball played the University of Maine Farmington at Colby College on Saturday, April 8
th for a day of doubleheaders. Without blinking the Terriers put up two wins, first a 7-0 win in game 1, followed by an 18-4 win in game two. Only giving up two hits in each game.

How it Happened:
- Thomas was able to add a run immediately with Kelsey Currier hitting a triple followed by Maddie Rock hitting her in
- After a short second inning from both the Terriers and Beavers, Thomas was able to add a yet another run with Currier scoring again
- The fourth inning another single run was added by Thomas, this time scoring Kayla Duhaime off a sacrifice fly from Makayla Panich
- Runs four and five came in the sixth inning after Duhaime brought in pinch runner, Taylor Wilkie, off a triple to left center, then scoring herself after Katy McIntyre hit her in
- Another triple from Currier scored Cheyenne Simpson, followed by Rock's second RBI of the day bringing Currier in, final score 7-0 Thomas

The Pitchers:
Currier also pitched an almost perfect game along with her great day at the plate. She ended the day with eight strikeouts in the seven innings pitched.

How it Happened:
- A huge first inning seals the deal for the Terriers in game two as eleven of their eighteen runs were scored
- The first inning included doubles from Kaylee Fonseca, Rock, and Riley Giblin, and four singles
- During the second inning Thomas was able to tack on two more runs off a double from Panich scoring Audra Bean and Simpson then bringing in Panich, 13-0
- The score went to 15-0 in the third inning with Megan Oberholzer hitting a double then scoring off Giblin's second double of the game
- Lindsay Eisenhart scored Giblin for the fifteenth run with a hit out to center
- Maddie Swett, Shannon Harris, and Jordan Devine hit back-to-back doubles during the fourth inning taking the score to 18-0
- The Beavers added their four runs during the bottom of the fifth inning, but that was not enough to stop the game from ending early, playing only five innings, 18-4 Thomas

The Pitchers:
Oberholzer got the start and the win in the circle for game 2 pitching two perfect innings, facing six batters and ending with four strikeouts. Devine relieved Oberholzer in the third inning pitching the last three and ending with four strikeouts.

Softball will travel to Central Maine Community College on Tuesday, April 11
th for doubleheaders at 5 and 8pm.
