Bangor, ME - Softball fell in the 2026 North Atlantic Conference Softball Championship Series, falling to #14 ranked in NCAA Division III and #1 seeded Husson University. The Terriers conclude their season at 21 wins, their most since the 2019 season. The final score was 0-18 on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.
How it Happened:
- The Eagles started the scoring early, putting the Terriers in a 0-3 hole heading into the second inning.
- Over the next few innings the Eagle lead grew to 12 runs, with the Eagles combining strong pitching and excellent fielding against the Terriers.
- In the fifth inning Brooklyn Federico was able to advance to second thanks to some good baserunning, but the Terrier offense stalled, eventually leading to a 0-18 loss.
- Despite the loss, the Terriers had an excellent season, finishing with the most wins since 2019, and made it back to the NAC Championship Series for the first time since 2022.
- Graduating seniors Megan Oberholzer, Addy Boyce, Leah Knight, and Abby Farone will be missed headed into next season, and those graduating will be able to look back on a largely succesful 2026.
