Standish, ME – The Thomas College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track teams both traveled to compete in the Maine State Meet at Saint Joseph's College on Saturday. The Maine State Meet was a successful one, with the Men's team placing 3
rd out of 8 teams, best in program history. While the Women's team had a strong performance placing them 7
th out of nine teams.
Women's Team:
- Lexy Shannon set a school record in Women's Long Jump, with a distance of 4.92/16-1.75.
- Julia Reny placed first as a State of Maine Champion for Women's Javelin throwing a distance of 38.16/125-2.
Men's Team:
- Maddox Cahill set a school record in the Men's 400 Hurdles with a time of 587.05. This performance earned him first place finishing as a State of Maine Champion for the 400 Hurdles.
- Nick Plamondon set a school record Men's 200 event with a time of 22.45. This performance earned him first place finishing as a State of Maine Champion for Men's 200 event.
- Jarrod Hooper set a school record in the Men's 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 9:47.71. This performance earned him first place finishing as a State of Maine Champion in the Men's 3000 Steeplechase. This performance also qualified Hooper for the New England Qualifiers.
- LJ Raye placed first as a State of Maine Champion for Men's Long Jump with a distance of 6.66/21-10.25.
- The Men's 4x100 relay team also set a school record. Kyle Pelletier, Plamondon, Cahill, and Raye finished with a time of 43.34.
Team Results:
- Men's Score – 93 points, earning them 3rd place out of 8 teams.
- Women's Score – 62 points, earning them 7th place out of 9 teams.

The Terriers will look to continue their success as both teams travel to compete at Colby College in the NAC Championship Saturday, April 29
th, and Sunday April 30th.
