Thomas College Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Both Earn Runner Up Spots at NAC Championship

Waterville, ME – Thomas College Men's and Women's Track and Field alongside University of Maine Farmington, Husson University, Vermont State University Johnson, Lesley University, and University of Maine Presque Isle competed in the 2025 North Atlantic Conference Championship Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th. Those competing in the Pole Vault and High Jump participate in their events on Friday due to good weather while all other events were held on Saturday.
 
Both Teams finished with a combined 13 individual NAC Champion Titles along with four new qualifiers for the Division III New England Qualifiers held at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT on Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd.
 
Women's Outdoor Track and Field:
Emma Burr – Burr won conference titles in the Javelin, 200m, 100m, Long Jump, High Jump, 100m Hurdles. She also broke NAC Championship Meet records in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.29m/ 17' 4.25" and the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.44 seconds. She qualified for New England's in the Long Jump and High Jump. She marked 1.56m/ 5' 1.25" in the High Jump. Finally, she broke school records in the Long Jump and High Jump.
Mary Disanto – Disanto became three-time NAC Champion in the Shot Put and two-time NAC Champion in the Discus after this past weekend, forever cementing her spot as one of the best throwers in the program history as she will soon wrap up her senior year. She qualified for New England with her mark in discus with a 35.89m/ 117' 9" mark. In the Shot Put she marked 11.36m/ 37' 3.25".
Chelsey Cote- Cote finished the meet placing 3rd in Shot Put (9.99m/32' 9.25"), and 2nd in the Discus with a mark of 33.29m/109' 2.75"
Katie Elliott- Elliott finished just shy of a NAC title in the Hammer Throw. She finished 2nd with a mark of 37.53m/ 123' 1.5".
Kara Anderson – Anderson came up inches short of the 1st place title in the Triple Jump marking m/34' 1.75" behind Farmington Winner, Erica Johnson (10.41m/34' 2.75").
Savaughn Kungxat-Facenda – Facenda would place 3rd in the Women's 1500m, 800m, and 5000m showing impressive pace and always leading the pack. She broke the school record in the 5000m with a time of 20:17.52.
 
Men's Outdoor Track and Field:
Nick Plamondon – Plamondon became the NAC Champion in the 100m and 200m. Plamondon was able to redeem himself from the 2023 meet where he placed 2nd in both events. In the 100m he timed 11.37 seconds followed by a time of 22.70 seconds in the 200m. He would also go on to place second in the Javelin Throw, marking 38.54m/126' 1.75".
Henry Philips – Philips became a NAC Champion in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 40.92m/134' 3".
Max Bojarski – Bojarski placed 1st in the Hammer Throw while simultaneously breaking a NAC Championship Meet Record with a mark of 49.69m/ in his final meet season.
Treaz Hardy – Hardy placed 3rd in the High Jump with a mark of 1.9m/6' 2.75". This earned him an invitation to New England's and broke a school record for the Terriers.
Patrick McKenney- McKenney placed second in the 800m run with a time of 2:04.16, just a few seconds sort of the 1st place finisher. He also placed 3rd in the 1500m with a time of 4:13.31.
Carlton Dailey – Dailey placed 3rd in the 400m Dash with a time of 54.16 seconds.
Gage Bruns – Bruns would come in 4th in the 1500m with a time of 4:17.48, just behind teammate McKenney.
Miles Gadwah – Gadwah placed 3rd in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.20m/ 10'6". Along with 4th place finish in the 110m Hurdles with a 19.55 time.
Van Franklin – Franklin would finish just shy of the conference title in Discus, placing 2nd with a mark of 36.51m/ 119' 9.5". He would also go on to place 3rd in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 37.65m/ 123' 6.25".
Thomas Grady – Grady placed 2nd in the Shot Put marking 11.80m/ 38' 8.5".
Jafar Ojugbele – Ojugbele would place 4th in the Triple Jump finishing with a 12.01m/ 39' 4.75" mark.
 
What's Next:
Those who have qualified for the Division III New England Qualifer this spring, will travel to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT on Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd to participate in their events.
