Standish, ME – Thomas College Track and Field participated in the Monks Invitational at Saint Joseph's College on Friday, April 11th. Two athletes broke school records, and one punched their ticket to the Division III New England Qualifier.
Women's Outdoor Track and Field:

Emma Burr placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.18 seconds, qualifying her for the DIII New England Qualifier in New London, CT. Burr also finished third in the women's long jump with a mark of 4.82 meters.

Amanda Winslow broke a school record in the 10,000-meter run, finishing with a time of 47:13.60. The 10k distance is equivalent to 6.2 miles.

First-year Kara Anderson took third place in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.01 meters on her final attempt. She also placed fourth in the women's long jump with a mark of 4.78 meters.

Julia Reny placed second in the women's javelin throw with a distance of 36.12 meters, achieved on her final attempt.
Men's Outdoor Track and Field:

Thomas Grady broke a school record in the shot put with a distance of 13.11 meters (43' 0.25"), earning third place in the event.

Jafar Ojugbele took second place in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.97 meters.

Following Ojugbele, Treaz Hardy placed third in the triple jump with a final mark of 12.87 meters. Hardy also finished third in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.80 meters.

Junior Miles Gadwah placed third in the men's pole vault with a mark of 3.20 meters (10' 6").

Max Bojarski wrapped up the meet by placing second in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 45.15 meters (148' 2").

The Terriers will participate in the Maine State Championships on April 19th at Colby College.
