Box Score 2 Waterville, ME – Softball took on the University of Maine Presque Isle Owls on Friday, April 21
st at home and ended both games with a win. The Terriers took game one in five innings, winning 14-0, with
Kelsey Currier pitching a no-hitter and First Year
Katy McIntyre hitting two home runs. Game two ended in an 8-2 win for the Terriers over the Owls, playing the full seven innings.

Game 1
How it Happened:
- A strong first inning gave the Terriers a strong 6-0 lead, four runs coming from McIntyre's first collegiate grand slam, which also happened to be her first collegiate home run
- A double from Riley Giblin scored the Terriers seventh run in the second inning
- McIntyre hit another homerun at her second at bat of the game in the third inning, taking the game to an 8-0 score
- Thomas's final two runs were added in the fourth after extra base hits went back-to-back-to-back from Megan Oberholzer, Giblin, and Kayla Duhaime, then an RBI hit from Makayla Panich, final score 10-0 Thomas
The Pitchers:
Currier ended the game with a no-hitter and striking out four out of her fourteen at bats faced.
Game 2
How it Happened:
- After a scoreless first inning from both team, the Owls ended up being the first on the board in game two, scoring two runs off two hits
- Thomas immediately responded in the third tying the game up at two after Cheyenne Simpson scored Leah Knight, who reached first off a bunt, and a RBI hit from Oberholzer then brought in Simpson
- Another two runs were added by the Terriers in the fourth inning after an Owl error and SAC Bunt from Knight brought in Panich
- Maddie Rock scored Thomas's fifth run passing home on a pass ball in the fifth inning
- During the sixth inning, Thomas added the final two runs of the game off another bun from Knight scoring Panich and RBI hit to third base from Currier bringing in Knight, final score 8-2 Thomas
The Pitchers:
Oberholzer got the win on the mound in game two. She ended with three strikeouts and allowed six hits.

Thomas Softball will travel to Husson University in Bangor, ME on Saturday, April 22
nd for a NAC Conference Doubleheader at 1 & 3pm.
