Box Score 2 Auburndale, ME – Softball started their first day in Florida today, March 5
th with games against Penn State Berks and Johnson & Wales University. Both games ended in a 4-1 loss.

Game 1:
How it Happened:
- The first four innings for both Thomas and Penn State Berks went rather quickly and scoreless
- The Nittany Lions scored first in the fifth inning off a two run homerun
- Sophomore Kayla Duhaime scored the lone run with a homerun of her own
- Penn State Berks added their last two in the seventh inning off another two run homerun

Megan Oberholzer received the loss for the Terriers. She ended with four strikeouts and one walked batter.
Jordan Devine relieved Oberholzer in the seventh.
Game 2:
How it Happened:
- Johnson & Wales started off the game being the first on the board, then added their second in the bottom of two
- The Wildcats capitalized on an errors and scored their third run on an RBI single up the middle
- Johnson & Wales scored their fourth run off a walked batter after the runner advanced on a tough infield hit and then a right field single
- Thomas scored their single run of the game in the top of the seventh off a SAC fly from Riley Giblin which scored Maddie Rock who got on base from a ground-rule double
Pitchers:

Kelsey Currier took the loss in the circle but finished with nine strikeouts. The Wildcats only had four hits off of Currier and walked three times.
