Thomas track and field breaks three program records as Terriers finish strong at Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Thomas College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed in the Myrtle Beach Colligate Challenge at Doug Shaw Stadium on Saturday. 

Stephen Gray (Turner, Maine) set a new program record in the triple jump and Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine), set a new program record in the 1500-meter run. A new 4x100-meter relay record was also set by Madyson Redding (Milford, Maine), Jessica Jensen (Naples, Maine), Onyx Emelo (Portland, Maine), and Julia Reny (Gardiner, Maine)

The women finished 18th overall while the men finished 20th overall at Myrtle Beach. Thomas competed with athletes from over twenty-five other division-one and division-three colleges and universities, in addition to a small group of professional athletes and former Olympians.
