WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's tennis team took a pair of matches over Northern Vermont University-Lyndon and Norwich on Sunday.
MATCH 1: Thomas 9, NVU-Lyndon 0
Thomas dominated the three doubled matches, surrendering just five points to go up 3-0.
The Terriers finished the sweep with sweeps in all six singles matches. Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) at No. 1 and Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) at No. 3 were standouts for Thomas, each winning their singles matches by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
MATCH 2: Thomas 6, Norwich 3
Thomas once again got off to a strong start with a three-match sweep of doubles.
The Terriers and Cadets spilt the singles matches 3-3, giving Thomas the 6-3 victory. Chasse picked up the win 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, Waterhouse battled to a 7-5, 6-3 No. 3 victory and Yontz Sutton (Hamilton, Bermuda) earned straight 6-3 set wins at No. 4.
