SAINT ALBANS, Vermont – The Thomas College men's tennis team extended their winning streak to six matches in a 9-0 sweep of Johnson State College in North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers improve to 9-3 (3-0 NAC) on the year while the Badgers fall down to 1-6 (0-3 NAC).
In doubles play, Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine) cruised to an 8-1 win in the No. 1 flight. Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine) and Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) followed with an 8-2 win in twos along with an 8-0 victory on the three line for Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) and Christo Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine).
Chasse, Munn, and Disch all won 6-1, 6-0 in their respective singles matches. Waterhouse and Payson each won 6-0, 6-0. Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine) won his first match of the season in sixes, 6-3, 6-2.
The Terriers will have a quick turnaround as they play at home tomorrow against SUNY Delhi.
