HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Thomas College men's tennis team completed their spring trip with an 8-1 defeat to Greenville College on Thursday afternoon.
The Terriers now sit at 1-4 in non-conference play while the Panthers improve to 5-3.
In doubles play, the Terriers lost 8-2 on the number one and two line while falling 8-4 in the third slot.
Thomas' lone win on the day came in number three singles as Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine / Waterville) handled Justin Tilford 6-1, 6-4. Mark Amato (Manchester, Conn. / Manchester) looked to rally on the six line as he lost in a tiebreaker 7-5, 5-7, 10-7.
The Terriers will have a long break until their next game as they travel to Johnson State on Saturday, March 25 for a 1:00 p.m. matchup.
