STOWE, Vt. --- The Thomas College men's tennis teams made it two wins in as many days with an 8-1 non-conference win over Lyndon State College at Top Notch Resort.
The Terriers (2-7) grabbed a 2-1 lead following doubles as senior Tyler Small (Ellsworth, Maine / Surry) and sophomore Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine / Waterville) posted an 8-1 win over Trevor Updike and Dominick Agresta at first doubles, while seniors Joseph Greco (Greene, Maine / St. Dominic Academy) and Caleb Mora (Surry, Maine / Ellsworth) received a forfeit win at third doubles.
Lyndon picked up its only point of the day at second doubles as Michael Sigsbury and Jake LaCerda topped freshmen Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine / Brunswick) and Nathan Philbrook (Rockland, Maine / Oceanside) by an 8-5 score.
Small added a 6-0, 6-1 win over Updike at first singles, Disch topped Agresta, 6-0, 6-2 at the second spot and Mora defeated Sigsbury, 6-1, 6-3, at the third spot.
Munn had the closest singles match, defeating LaCerda by a 7-5, 7-6 (3) score at fourth singles. Philbrook shut out Kalnicki, 6-0, 6-0, at the fifth spot and Greco received a forfeit win at number six.
Thomas returns home Wednesday to face Johnson State College in a non-conference match, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Alfond Athletic Center.
