HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- The Thomas College men's tennis team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, 6-3, on Thursday at Evian Tennis Center.
The Terriers' top doubles tandem of Tyler Small and Zachary Disch picked up a point for the second day in a row, topping FDU's Rich Bennett and Max Moscowitz in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (4).
Thomas' other two doubles teams were not as fortunate, however, falling by identical 8-0 scores.
The Terriers (0-4) picked up a pair of wins in singles play as Disch topped Bennett, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 2 singles and Caleb Mora improved to 3-1 in singles with a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (5) win over Ryan O'Keefe at No. 4 singles.
Small forced Moskowitz to a third set before falling, 0-6, 6-4, 1-0 (6), at the number one position, while Ross Munn (No. 3), Thomas Heideman (No. 5) and Sam Cook (No. 6) each suffered straight-set losses.
The Terriers wrap up their spring trip Friday with an 11 a.m. match-up with Shepherd (W.V.).
