Softball Loses Two on Day Four

CLERMONT, FL- Thomas (1-7) was unable to secure a victory on day four of the spring trip. In the first game the Terriers were routed by UMass Boston 13-0, and then fell to Calvin 6-0 in the nightcap.

GAME ONE

UMass Boston was led by starting pitcher Michelle Zullo, who dominated the mound with six strikeouts, while only giving up two hits. Faith Robinson (Auburn, N.H.) was charged with the loss for Thomas, pitching three innings. McKayla Gastia (Milford, Maine) pitched well in relief, striking out four, while giving up three hits.

Alyssa Eugley (Sidney, Maine) and Lindsay Hoopingarner (Richmond, Maine) counted for the two Thomas hits in the contest.

GAME TWO

The Terriers were unable to pick up their second win of the season, falling in game two of the day to Calvin 6-0.

Tomorrow the Terriers will return to the diamond versus Plymouth State at 9am, then Washington and Jefferson at 1pm.
