Box Score 2 CLERMONT, FL- The Terriers softball team kicked off the 2013 season with a pair of difficult losses on Wednesday evening. In the first game fell to Salve Regina 10-2, while losing to Bethel 20-2 in the final game of the night in the first day of their Florida spring trip.
GAME ONE
The Seahawks got on the board in the first inning on a fielder's choice, after starting the game off with a triple. Thomas would answer back with two runs in the third on a costly error by Salve Regina, and on a wild pitch. The Terriers would be unable to plate home another run, however the same could not be said for their counterparts, who cashed in a big fourth inning with seven runs.
Faith Robinson (Auburn, N.H.) surrendered the loss in her collegiate debut, pitching 3.1 innings, recording one strikeout. Taylor Bergeron (Lyman, Maine) picked up the Terriers lone hit of the game in the 2nd inning with a single to left field.
GAME TWO
The Terriers were unable to redeem themselves in the second game of the evening, falling to Bethel 20-2.
