Bangor, Maine - The Castleton Spartans fought to a 4-3 victory over the Thomas Terriers to advance to the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship.  With the loss, Thomas ends their season with a 13-26 record.  Castleton will face Husson in the NEAC Championship on Sunday, May 1 in a 12:00 game at Husson's Winkin Complex.

Thomas jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning off a two-run RBI single by Ben Goodall .  Castleton answered with a four-run third inning, scoring all that they would need for the win.  The Spartans opened the fourth with a homerun by Peter Wagner to right field. 

Thomas' Josh Nickerson hit an RBI single to third base to push Goodall across the plate in the fifth inning.  The remainder of the game stayed scoreless and ended with a 4-3 Castleton victory. 

Jeff Richardson was 3-5 for the Terriers, along with Nickerson who went 2-4 with one RBI.  Castleton was led by Jack Lancellin, hitting 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored. 

On the mound, Dakota Aker received the win for his complete game that included ten strikeouts, 8 hits, and two walks.  Chris Farrar received the loss for eight innings of work, four strikeouts, and ten hits.
