Mike Picard all earned North Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse weekly awards for the week of 3/28/26. The Terriers went 2-0 in that time, defeating the University of Southern Maine 12-7 on Wednesday, and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 15-8 on Saturday.
Jack Morrill was named to the NAC Honor Roll after an excellent week for the Terriers from faceoffs and in midfield, helping the team to two important wins to move to 6-2 on the year. Against USM on Wednesday Morrill dominated, scoring two goals and going 11-15 on faceoffs with 10 ground balls. Those extra possessions from faceoffs proved necessary and led to an important rivalry win against the Huskies. In the team's conference opener against MCLA on Saturday, Morrill scored one goal and added an assist while earning an impressive 15 ground balls. Morrill only lost two faceoffs all day, going 12-14 to help power the Terriers to a 15-8 win. In total Morrill earned a combined three goals, one assist, and went 23/29 on faceoffs with 25 ground balls.ground balls. Hunter Vail was named to the NAC Honor Roll after leading the defensive effort in a 2-0 week for Thomas College. In a win over Southern Maine, he totaled 5 ground balls and 6 caused turnovers. He followed with 2 ground balls and 1 caused turnover in a conference victory over MCLA, anchoring a disciplined defensive unit. A returning First Team All-Conference selection, Vail has recorded 16 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers through seven games this season.
Mike Picard was also named to the NAC Honor Roll after a strong week for the Terriers, helping the team to two wins this past week. Picard stood tall in a key road win over USM, recording 10 crucial saves and anchoring the defense under pressure. He followed that performance with 2 saves in another win against MCLA on Saturday, continuing to show consistency and composure in net. Beyond his shot-stopping ability, Picard has been instrumental in the clearing game throughout the season, demonstrating poise and smart decision-making with the ball.
Men's Lacrosse will be back in action on Thursday, April 2nd, when they take on Salem State University at home. Start time is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
