9/24/2025 7:05:00 PM

Bridgton, ME - On Wednesday, September 24, the Terriers NECBA Club Baseball team made the trip to Bridgton, Maine, for a rematch with the Bridgton Academy Wolverines, but would ultimately come up short in a seven-inning contest by a score of 1-7.

How it Happened:
  • Evan Pupka would get the start on the mound for the Terriers, with Harry Lemoine relieving him after throwing five complete innings.
  • The Wolverines would strike first, scoring two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to put the Terriers down 0-2 early on.
  • The Wolverines would extend their lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning, scoring another two runs to put the Terriers down 0-4.
  • The Terriers would look to generate some momentum in the top of the 5th inning, scoring a run to cut into the Wolverines lead.
  • But the Wolverines would find a quick response, scoring runs in the bottom of the 5th and 6th inning to extend the Terriers deficit.
  • The Terriers would look to find a response to the Wolverines with a late rally, but the Wolverines would ultimately hold on to hand the Terriers a 1-7 road loss.
  • Despite the loss, first-year Jack Michaud would lead the Terriers' offense with a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate, while pitchers Pupka and Lemoine would combine for three strikeouts and limit the Wolverines to just six hits in seven innings.
What's Next:
  • NECBA Club Baseball will look to bounce back on Wednesday, October 1st, traveling to Biddeford, Maine to take on the University of New England Nor'easters club baseball team in a 9-inning contest. First pitch is TBD.
