NECBA Baseball Earns First Win Over Bridgton Academy

Waterville, ME - Despite trailing early in the contest, NECBA Baseball would earn its first win of it's inaugural season, defeating the Bridgton Academy Wolverines by a score of 9-7.

How It Happened:
  • Andrew Rapoza would start the game on the mound for the Terriers, allowing three earned runs and earning two strikeouts in five complete innings.
  • The Wolverines would score three runs early on, but the Terriers would eventually get the bats going in the third inning, scoring at least one run in six straight innings.
  • Nick Griffel would lead the Terriers on offense, finishing the day batting 4 for 5 with 2 RBI.
  • Andrew Pruell would come in for relief in the top of the 6th inning, taking over the game with 6 strikeouts. 
  • Despite a late comeback attempt from the Wolverines, the Terriers would hold on to take a 9-7 win in their first game of the inaugural season.

What's Next: 
  • The Terriers will return to action on Tuesday, September 16th, hosting the University of Maine at Augusta Moose in a 9-inning contest. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM at H. Allen Ryan Field.
