Emma Burr became the first NCAA Track & Field All-American in School History, placing 15
th in all of NCAA Division III in the Women's Pentathlon at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, March 14
th, 2025. This earned Burr Second Team All-American Honors in the Women's Pentathlon.
Women's Indoor Track and Field:
- Emma Burr's primary event, the Pentathlon, contains the 60 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump, and 800 Meter. Points are awarded separately for each event completed, and after those five events the student athlete with the highest point total wins.
- Burr placed sixth in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.09 seconds, earning 891 points.
- Burr placed 16th in High Jump with a height of 1.54 meters, earning 666 points.
- Burr placed seventh in Shotput with a throw of 10.93 meters, earning 591 points.
- Burr placed 19th in Long Jump with a distance of 4.91 meters.
- Burr placed 13th in the 800 Meter with a time of 2:32.87.
- As a result, Burr earned a total of 3,340 points, placing her 15th in all of NCAA Division III, making her a Second Team All-American.
- Burr was the only Sophomore in all of Division III who competed in the Pentathlon in the Indoor Track & Field Championships, an incredibly impressive feat.
- Burr also currently holds school records in a staggaring 18 events, with more likely to be broken in the future.
What's Next:
- Burr will rejoin the Outdoor Track & Field Team as they travel to Saint Joseph's College of Maine to compete in their next meet on Friday and Saturday, April 11th and 12th, 2025. Start time on Friday is 12:00 PM, and 9:00 AM on Saturday.
