Indoor Track and Field Competes in Maine State Meet

Bowdoin, ME – The Thomas College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams competed at the Maine State Meet, hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday, February 8th. Other participating schools included Bates College, Bowdoin College, the University of Southern Maine, Colby College, the University of Maine Farmington, Saint Joseph's University (ME), and Husson University.
 
Men's Indoor Track and Field:
Sophomore Nick Plamondon finished 9th in the Men's 60 meters with a time of 7.30 seconds. He also placed 9th in the Men's Long Jump, recording a mark of 6.35m (20'10").
Patrick McKenney took 4th place in the Men's 600 meters with a time of 1:27.22.
First-year Gage Bruns also finished in the top 10 in the Men's 600 meters, placing 8th with a time of 1:28.01.
In the Men's High Jump, Henry Phillips secured 7th place with a mark of 1.80m (5'10.75").
Senior Max Bojarski finished 4th in the Men's Weight Throw with a distance of 15.00m (49'1.75").
Thomas Grady earned 5th place in the Men's Shot Put with a throw of 13.16m (43'2.25"). He also placed 6th in the Men's Weight Throw with a mark of 13.45m (44'0.5").
 
Women's Indoor Track and Field:
Savaughn Kungxat-Facenda set the Terriers' only school record over the weekend, surpassing her previous mile time set just last week with a new time of 5:28.71, which earned her 7th place in the event.
In the Women's Shot Put, Mary DiSanto finished 6th with a throw of 11.20m (36'9"), while Chelsey Cote followed closely in 9th with a throw of 10.45m (34'3.5").
