Hallowell, ME - Men's Ice Hockey fell in a home matchup against the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans on Friday, November 14th, 2025. The final score was 0-4 despite the Terriers outshooting the Spartans 44-26.
How it Happened:
- The Terriers played a solid first period, generating several opportunities that required impressive saves from the Spartan goaltender.
- Late in the period the Spartans rebounded, with Terrier goaltender Matt D'Ortona making a total of nine saves by the end of the first.
- Heading into the second period the Spartans caught fire in the first 11 minutes, scoring four unanswered goals after some unlucky bounces in front of the Terrier net.
- The Terriers continued to keep their heads up and fought hard heading into the third.
- The Spartans were called for several penalties in the third period, giving the Terriers several chances to cut away at the lead.
- Despite their best efforts the Spartan goaltender was excellent all night, finishing the game with 44 saves, handing the Terriers a 0-4 loss.
