Gorham, ME – Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams participated in the USM Husky Invitational, hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday, January 25
th, 2025. Both
Savaughn Kungxat-Facenda and
Thomas Grady broke school records as the Women's team placed fifth and the Men's team placed ninth.
Men's Indoor Track and Field:
- Max Bojarski placed second in Men's Weight Throw with a distance of 14.83m.
- Nick Plamondon placed third in Men's Long Jump with a distance of 6.44m.
- Thomas Grady placed sixth in Men's Shot Put with a distance of 13.42m. This throw earned Grady a new school record and qualification for the NCAA Division III Regional Championship Meet.
- The Men's team placed 9th out of 11 teams with 25 points.
Women's Indoor Track and Field:
- Emma Burr placed second in Women's Long Jump with a distance of 5.04m.
- Burr also placed first in the Women's 55 Meter Hurdles with a time of 8.60.
- Burr placed second in the Women's 200 Meter Dash with a time of 26.16.
- Savaughn Kungxat-Facenda placed second in the Women's One Mile with a time of 5:43.64. This time earned Kungxat-Facenda a new school record.
- The Women's team placed 5th out of 13 teams with 45 points.
What's Next:
- The Terriers will be back in action when they travel to Colby College on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025. Meet time is to be determined.
