Lewiston, Maine – Thomas College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field started off the second semester at the Bates Invitational and Multi on Friday, January 17
th and Saturday, January 18
th. At the meet, Sophomore
Emma Burr placed first in the Women's Pentathlon, qualified for DIII New England's, and broke a school record. Max Brojarski also qualified for New England's and broke a school record of his own. Two more school records were broken by
Savaughn Kungxat-Facenda and
Thomas Grady.
Women's Indoor Track and Field:
Burr ended the women's pentathlon with a score of 3,137 points. In the process she placed first in 800-meters, shot put, and 60-meter hurdles. With a time of 9.41 in the 60m hurdles, she was able to qualify for DIII New England's.
Kungxat-Facenda finished 7th out of 13 in the women's mile. She crossed the finish line with a time of 5:48.95, breaking a school record in the process.
The women's team placed 4
th out of 8 teams at the meet, beating out fellow NAC opponent University of Maine Farmington 38-37.
Men's Indoor Track and Field:
Bojarski qualified for DIII New England's and broke a school record in the weight throw with a distance of 15.14 meters/49' 8". He finished 9
th out of 23 in his event.
Grady was the last member of the Terriers to break a school record after placing 7
th out of 27
th, in the shot put. He ended with a distance of 13.33 meters/ 43' 8.75"
The men's team placed 6
th out of 7 teams with 32.50 points.

The programs next meet will be at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday, January 25
th.
