Burr Rounds Out Season at Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

Myrtle Beach, SC – Emma Burr rounded out her season by competing in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on May 23rd through the 25th, 2024.
 
Women's Outdoor Track and Field:
  • Burr placed 18th in the nation in Division III in the Women's Heptathlon with a score of 4331 points.
  • Burr is now ranked second in the nation among first years in the Division III Women's Heptathlon.
  • As a part of the Heptathlon, Burr set a school record in the Women's 200 Meter with a time of 25.31.
 
Inside the Season Stats:
  • Burr, a first year, set a combined 35 school records in the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field seasons.
  • Burr qualified for five events in both the NCAA Division III New England Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, for 10 total events.
  • Burr placed top three in 10 separate events at the North Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, earning 76 points and outscoring four entire schools by herself.
  • Burr also set five conference records at the NAC Championships this past year.
  • Burr made All-NAC First Team in the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles, Women's 100 Meter Dash, Women's 200 Meter Dash, Women's Triple Jump, and the Women's Pole Vault.
  • Burr made All-NAC Second Team in the Women's 4x400 Meter Relay, Women's Long Jump, and the Women's Javelin Throw.
  • As a result of her outstanding spring season, Burr was named the 2024 NAC Women's Track Athlete of the Year.
