Outdoor Track and Field Sets Three School Records at St. Joseph’s College

Standish, ME – Mary DiSanto, Maria Protheroe, and Max Bojarski all broke school records in the 2024 Saint Joseph's College Meet on Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th, 2024. Participating schools came from all across New England in the Terriers fourth outdoor meet of the season.
 
Men's Outdoor Track and Field:
  • Patrick McKenney placed third in the Men's 800 Meter with a time of 2:05.95.
  • McKenney also placed third in the Men's 1500 Meter with a time of 4:23.38.
  • Josiah Hays placed first in the Men's 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.68.
  • Aidan Mills placed third in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:01.77.
  • Lionel Raye Jr. placed third in the Men's Long Jump with a distance of 21-4.25.
  • James Cote placed second in the Decathlon Men's Long Jump with a distance of 20-3.25.
  • Jack Harvey placed second in the Men's Javelin with a distance of 132-1.75.
  • Harvey also placed third in the Men's Shot Put with a distance of 40-6.25.
  • Henry Phillips placed first in the Men's Decathlon Shot Put with a distance of 33-8.25.
  • Max Bojarski broke the school record in the Men's Hammer Throw with a distance of 140 feet and 1 inch.
  • The Men's 4x400 Meter Relay team placed third with a time of 3:44.46.
 
Women's Outdoor Track and Field:
  • Emma Burr placed first in the Women's 100 Meter with a time of 12.94.
  • Burr also placed first in the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.61.
  • Rebekah Ireland placed second in the Women's 300 Meter Steeplechase with a time of 13:47.48.
  • Mary DiSanto placed first in the Women's Discus with a distance of 128-5.25. This throw earned DiSanto a new school record.
  • DiSanto also placed second in the Women's Shot Put with a distance of 36-6.25.
  • Maria Protheroe placed sixth in the Women's 5000 Meter with a time of 20:24.94. This time earned Protheroe a new school record.
  • The Women's 4x400 Meter Relay team placed third with a time of 4:54.31.
 
What's Next:
  • The Terriers will travel to Bowdoin College for their next meet on April 20th, 2024. Start time is to be determined.
