Riverside, CA – Outdoor Track and Field set four new school records at the 2024 Riverside City College Invitational on March 1
st, 2024. Participating schools and individual athletes came from all around the country in the Terriers' first outdoor meet of the season in California.
Men's Outdoor Track and Field:
- The Men's team had a total of 12 top-10 performances in school history.
- The Men's team finished in 13th out of 14 participating teams.
Women's Outdoor Track and Field:
- Julia Reny placed first in Women's Javelin with a distance of 35.30m, or 115 feet and 10 inches. This throw qualified Reny for the Division III New England Outdoor Track and Field Meet.
- Reny also set a school record in the Women's 800 Meter, with a time of 2:35.57.
- Emma Burr placed 17th in the Women's 100 Meter with a time of 12.73. This time earned Burr a new school record, as well qualification for the Division III New England Outdoor Track and Field Meet.
- Burr also placed eighth in the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.31, earning another school record and another qualification spot for the Division III New England Outdoor Track and Field Meet.
- Burr broke another school record in the Women's Long Jump, placing 11th with a distance of 5.13 meters or 16 feet and 10 inches.
- The Women's team had a total of 10 top-10 performances in school history.
- The Women's team finished in 11th out of 12 participating teams.
What's Next:
- The Terriers will travel to Long Beach, California to compete in the Long Beach City College Invitational on Friday, March 8th, 2024. Start time is to be determined.
